Right Yog
Seven years ago I started yog, and since then my daily diet has halved, without any weight loss; in fact, I have gained a few pounds. My understanding is if yog is done rightly it can help the body choose the right type and amount of food for itself. True yog creates a subtle awareness that makes these choices. Without it, the body's intelligence remains dim and inadvertently we form a poor lifestyle. Most people fail to reap the deeper benefits of yog just because they don't practise it under expert guidance.

Yog is far more than mere body-twisting and breath-holding. And it gives far more than mere physical health. What is this more can be only experienced, not described. This experience comes at a cost: constant practice and right guidance.
